1.5Mb service since 10/05. Asked for & was told I was getting 3Mb service, which turned out to be unavailable for me due to my distance from the CO. Wasn't real enthused about that, but have found the 1.5 suitable for my needs. Was online several days ahead of schedule.
The service is virtually never down. Gotta love that. Tech support is friendly and helpful enough. The few times I've called, my issues were resolved.
All around, Verizon gets pretty high marks from me.
11/19/11 Update: There's been basically no change in my service options, nor any change in my opinions. Verizon offers a decent enough rate, and the service, as far as almost never being down, could hardly be any better.
FIOS has been available for me for some time, and one of these days I'll get off my lazy ass and upgrade to it.
The FIOS TV and Internet services I've seen in action at other folks' places are impressive.
