    08/28/2003 took free upgrade to 1.5/128 and installed wireless network in my home and attached my tivo's and my stero as well. No down time in over two years, This really beats what are local cable company has to offer hands down. I hate CHARTER .......................

    Update Feb 2004

    Installed wireless router linksys so I can use my laptops any where. had no problems with DSL connection and the set up cant compalin works fine with my Tivos's and laptops and desk top no problems with the service at all . Very Please with the sevice no down times.

    Update July 2004

    Recently called in to get free upgrade was informed that I wasnt qualified for DSL let alone the upgrade. Now keep in mind that I have had DSL here since Feb. 2000 last outage I had was Nov. 2000 I asked the rep since I cant have DSL who do i talk to to get a refund....... I finally convinced her to push upgrade thru for 1.5 / 384 and a couple hours later it worked..... go figure.... I still reccomend VERIZON over the local cable company which here is charter and have worst service and product i have ever seen.

    Man it just keeps looking up I called into asked for the 3.0 down and 768 up upgrade flowed thtough no problems. Pick DSL over cavbe what is the choice.

    Update 02/23/05

    Just passed my 5 year service anniversary and since Nov 2000 has been smooth sailing. Im very pleased and reccomend this service to any of my friends. I have set up numerous friends in the last two months alone. All previous Charter customers and like the fact that one it so reliable and the free router and is priced so well compared to what they offer. I sit down and figured out what this has saved me by me having the DSL and switching to Directv and now you can get them on one bill and save even more. In the last 60 days I did call retention and asked about the wireless router they were offering to new customers since i had white westell from 2000 they sent me a router next day at no charge fed ex and the time to rep aka hold was less than two minutes. I mean in 2000 the hold time was like hours so this has improved greatly. ALL THUMBS UP FROM GO VERIZON.

    Been beta testing dry line DSL for the past three months. They installed a second pair all the way from the C/O and placed DSL on it. I ran a home run and was up in no time. I have a static IP. I also get the dry line DSL for free for a year. I have shut off the dsl on the other line and removed that line as well. I am using my cell phone now. Over all I am very please with teh dry line offering.

    I HAVE SWITCHED FROM VERIZON DRY LINE DSL TO THE FIOS INTERNET 20/20 AND THEIR TELEVISION SERVICE. I HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS IS BY AND FAR THE BEST SERVICE I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFETIME FOR BOTH CABLE AND INTERNET. IT MAKES THE OTHER LOCAL PROVIDER COX COMMUNICATIONS LOOK LIKE CRAP. DURING THE TIME PERIOD I HAD COX ( 17 MONTHS ) THE ISSUED CREDITS FOR SERVICE ISSUES THAT TOTALED 11 MONTHS. THEY KNOW THEIR SERVICE IS THAT BAD AND CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO IMPROVE IT. I SAY IF YOU LIVE IN HAMPTON ROADS OR ANY OTHER AREA THEY PROVIDE SERVICE ITS WELL WORTH IT TO GET IT.
