Well 2 years later RoadRunner is working fine.
Speed has improved, connectivity is fine, hardware is fine, customer support the one time I used it resolved the issue w/in 5 hours w/ included repairing a downed line.
The pathetic speeds and experience I had with Verizon are just a distant memory.
