Currently have Comcast Digital Voice, Vonage and ViaTalk. The one-time purchase for Ooma was appealing and my ViaTalk is due to expire, so bought it to replace VT (VT is OK, but it ranked #3 of my current services).
I bought the Hub and Scout through Amazon for $209, which is a far cry from other prices, up to $250, that I saw elsewhere. Shipping took a couple of days.
Set up was just a matter of plugging the Ooma hub into my router and the cordless phone into the Ooma. They seem to make a big deal out of telling you to install in front of your router for QoS, but I chose to just put it behind and it works flawlessly...another option, anyway.
Voice quality is very good and I haven't experienced the delays others have reported. There's a Ooma tone before the dial tone that's kind of dopey, but it's benign.
The Ooma blog and press release seemed (to me) to imply that they have a Google Voice Extension (whatever that means) to allow integration with GV. I was incorrect and was disappointed in that little blip, but tech support was pleasant and got back to me quickly.
For anyone considering VOIP, this is worth the price without recurring charges.
