I worked with the WiFi45 guys and built a 130' tower to receive wireless signal from Corsicana, TX to my home. I provided the tower, the land and the power for the radios, they provided most of the labor, expertise and the wireless radios. I had hoped for a steady 1 to 1.5 Meg internet connection. So far I have averaged ping times of 15 to 18ms, download speed of 3 to 4.5 Meg and uploads are almost always faster than down! My latest test was to have a single computer linked up to 2 of our plants in Iowa and Texas via metaframe connection, at the same time I was transferring a file (7.5 MB) to a friend using MSN Messenger while I was downloading another file (9.5 MB) from that friend. I also started a ftp from our office and was downloading another 5 MB file. The speed remained excellent through out, and speed test during the downloads/uploads were still in the 4.0 MPS. If you are near Ellis or Navarro county look up wifi45.com, tell them Charles sent you.
