I recently renewed my plan with AT&T/SBC from the Expert Plus Plan to the Elite Package (a savings of $15/month). Even after my contract expires I will still be saving $5/month over my old plan. AT&T/SBC also increased my upload speed from 608kbps to 768kbps but my download speed still varies from 5000-6000kbps.
DSL is the cheapest solution in my area. The cable company out here wants $56/month for their service, which is way to much in my opinion. If you live close enough, AT&T/SBC is your best bang for the buck!
UPDATE: I no longer sync at 6016kbps, more like 4768kpbs. However, the connection is far more reliable than it ever was in the past. I am also using the newer 2Wire 2700HG-B which is rock-solid.
