We have hosted our game servers with 800hosting dedicated server hosting for about a year now. The service has been nothing but great. The server we rented was Dell Pro 400 with dual 3GHz Xeons 1GB ram, 160GB hd and 1.8TB bandwidth over a 40mbps pipe. Hosted in their datacenter in Dallas, Texas. Since this is dedicated hosting, you of course get access to an entire (not shared) machine, Linux/Unix or Windows, your choice.
The connection has always been top performing, downtime close to none. In about one year of service the total downtime was about 1 hour (due to DDoS attacks). This is excellent reliability.
It did take about a month to get it set up, but that was due to them being sold out of this particular server at the time (these were under very heavy demand). So results will vary in terms of order to success time.
Highly recommended. Great service, great support, and very affordable compared to most other dedicated hosting solutions (I have not yet found a cheaper equivalent).
