I log in at DSL reports as MIXZ1. I live in Cancun, Mexico and the ONLY
ISP is Prodigy Infinitum, which is actually an arm of Telmex, the virtual telephone monopoly in Mexico.
The 2k service price has been increased to 100USD per month when bundled with landline service. Lately they have been giving away 2Wire 2701 series modem/wireless routers as an upgrade. They are terrible, with frequent disconnects and reboots. They refund the charge and don't bother to collect the modem when you go back to your 802.11B unit, which they didn't collect when you upgraded. Rumor has it they are changing over to Motorola units. I'll report on that when I get mine.
EDIT ON 10-18-2008: I received yet another 2701 HG-T, my third, 12 months after the last one, and this one is a keeper. It's been running for 30 days with no spontaneous reboots or lockups. New firmware seems to have done the trick. I've finally dumped my 1070 and Linksys router and am working off the 2701 by itself. Hooray!
Service is expensive by US standards. Reliability is excellent Support has gotten much better and is needed very infrequently,

| TelMex I'm using the highest for residences available TelMex DSL offers what is called Prodigiy Infintum 2000. This is the most you can get as non-commercial customer at the moment. I'm using DSL from TelMex the 7th. year.
The price on the service is at the moment 947,- peso per month. This includes the telephone landlines that shows with 189,- pesos of this amount on the bill and includes 50 free local phone calls.
I'm running 4 machines - 1 development server, 3 workstations, 2 Vonage VoIP and an IP cam 24/7 of my connection.
(Vonage is limited in sense to no download or data transfers while using it or you get poor quality). It's also cheaper to call with Vonage intl.long distance a number here in town or Cabo San Lucas then use their service after the 50 free calls included!!
I operate 4 root servers in Germany and connect a lot to them. Most the time no problems.
Port 25 is blocked and that way they want to force you to use their SMTP server to send mails.
DSL service is to 90% reliable. Stay with the old saying: "if it's ain't broke don't fix it". The last 3 years I had no major problems, the years before been rocky at least to say. Changing house to other, 150 meters, same line, 3 poles down the road: 12 days!!
It may be related to the location - I'm at the Baja Peninsula and I understand main service crosses the Sea of Cortez in a cable around San Carlos and after larger weather disturbances like last weeks hurricane Norbert you have problems..... Also occasional bandwidth problems, 6 times a day changing IP's happen. That's when you grab the phone and call your buddies to check on their service...... 
Service in general is most the time very friendly yet not very solution producing at times. (See my last post in regards modem). IF you get an agent in call center that is REAL interested to help things are moving. If you have a buddy or somebody knows someone that knows someone that works at TelMex you are moving..... grabbing a technician at the street with your work order with an 200 peso bill attached does also speed things up remarkable.....
If you need service guarantied to connect/ send mails get an additional satellite inet so you have alternatives. (Don't forget you need also the generator for electric power if you want to use it and everything else is out.)
For the "regular" person from Europe or Northamerica moving to MEX is an adventure, dealing with TelMex is the icing on that adventure cake..... 
Dont forget this is the country where yes means no and no means maybe.....
