I started with Dish Network in November of 1997. I've generally been happy with it.
I really like Dish Networks equipment, especially the VIP622 receiver. I can record three channels while playing back 2 programs at the same time. The UHF remote capabilities of most Dish receivers is a big selling point for me, since I can control my dish boxes from different rooms. I have all my boxes wired so I can watch any one of them on any of my TV's in the house.
We have two cable TV providers in town, and I've checked out both of their offers and for me, Dish provides the best value.
I'm very happy with the new $10 HD Package.
I recently ran into a problem with my HD service due to a line-of-sight problem. Dish sent a tech out who did basically nothing to fix it. I complained again and ran into resistance to fix the problem. Having been a long time customer and previously being happy I decided to force the issue. Unfortunately it took escalating the problem to the Executive Resolution Team, then an Executive Resolution Supervisor, and finally VP of Operations before someone was able to really help me with what I wanted. In the end, they made it right and gave me some freebies for my trouble. But it shouldn't take that much effort.
