I resell T-1 lines to some of my IT customers, and we use Sprint data cards with Kyocera routers as failover lines for the Ts. Between weather/copper neglect, copper theft, drunk drivers hitting telephone poles, major power outtages and what not, we needed some sort of failover for our T-1s. Since they upgraded to EVDO rev. A around here early 2008, my customers don't even notice when their Ts go down now. It's very fast and reliable.
