I have a Verizon Wireless Data card and have had one for year's. As of late with many new smartphone's being activated on the network recently, the speed's have declined greatly. I am lucky to even achieve 2 mb's now. With that said, the coverage and consistency of VZW Broadband on the EVDO network is great!! It work's in very rural area's that would dream of having broadband in the years before. They typically have better 3G coverage in AL and I can't complain about that.
If you need reliable and consistent coverage and don't mind 500kb-1mbps then VZW is great. Now in other less congested area's I have easily hit 2.5-3mbps so YMMV.
