    My Other Reviews·AT&T Southeast
For a local ISP I can not complain, especially when many of my friends in surrounding areas are on some of the BIG NAMED ISP's. My advertised speed is 5000 and 512, I am consistently in the 4600 and 490 range. I have VOIP and my QOS is always rock solid in the 90+ range.
    **UPDATE**
    Way to go Comporium

09/01/07 STILL extremely happy with them

06/28/08 -- STILL extremely happy with them

10/01/08 -- Well after several months of issues with dropping packets, modem loosing IP etc etc .. neumerous trouble tickets (where I pointed out the issue in the hop within their network) I gave up on them went to ATT DSL Extrememe. Faster, cheaper and so far doing well

    Comporium

We have Comporium for our Cable TV, our local and long distance phone service, and, of course, our Cable internet connection, for the past year.
    Are we happy with it??
    ABSOLUTELY!!!
Comporium seems to have a monopoly here in this neck of the woods, but, who needs more, when Comporium covers everything, and at a price that is less than I was paying in Florida, for the same services.
    I'm happy

    Horrible "Service"

Personally I can't stand this so called ISP. Their speeds are consistently less than promised, there's constant downtime, they're "tech support" rarely seems to have any idea what their talking about, and when you have someone sent from them they're usually the elitist types that can't comprehend them possibly being wrong. The modem they give actually reduces your speeds even further than they normally are. If it wasn't for them buying off city and state officials a real ISP would have moved into the area and these impostors would be left out in the cold where they belong. Having used a few other ISPs in other states and cities I can attest that Comporium is by far the single worst ISP I've ever had the displeasure of using, and that sadly includes AOL. Before the rise of this monopolistic company there was another service provider you could goto in the area I currently live, RJS Online, and it always provided far superior service despite only having Dial-Up offerings. If not for the actions of Comporium it would have been able to offer high speed access, but increasing fees levied by several companies in the city caused it to be forced to be shut down. Shortly after they merged and formed the corporate monopoly known as Comporium. Having lived in the Rock Hill, SC area most of my life I'm planning to move out of state simply so I won't have to deal with the worthlessness of this company.
