"Straightforward, good monthly fee" "No modem mailing, Big initial fees (unavoidable)" "Very promising"

High Speed (8 Mbps) cable Internet connexion at 32$/month, 75 Gig bandwidth limit, No contract, No phone line Installation took place about 10 days after order and worked within the hour.
My alternatives at Sorel-Tracy (QC) were Bell and Videotron. EBox uses the Videotron cable network, yet I don't have to deal with Videotron directly.
Electronic Box service is more personalised, price is lower than what Videotron (or even Bell) offers, no contract, and initial fees are (I believe) the same everywhere : 75$ Motorola cable modem, 50$ line installation. I had to go get the modem myself, but their office is easily accessible if you're in Montreal, from Longueuil subway station.
When I called them, I never waited for very long and got one of their employees directly, not some random faraway operator.
It's too soon to say much more. Past problems I've had with ISPs happened around the 1st bill, which should come soon for me.
