Value for money:

    Connection history:
    * Many years on dialup as there was no other option whatsoever in this rural area.
    * 2001 to 2004 - DirecWay Satellite connection (great compared to dialup but there were many issues)
    * Went to Speakeasy IDSL from the Satellite connection because of the better upload speeds available with IDSL
    * Tried for years to get fixed wireless access from local providers but we live in a valley so no LOS and nobody was using anything that would get a signal down here.
    * Finally, on a Sunday in October 2005, there appeared on our mailbox a flier from a new local wireless ISP who claimed to be able to get a signal down our valley. I emailed them on that Sunday and got a quick reply. As I recall the process, there was a site survey on Monday or Tuesday with the installation set for Friday. (Kept my fingers crossed the entire week)
    * Friday came, the install went well and I had broadband, real broadband for the first time.

In the past year there have been a few issues with equipment not playing well together and congestion issues due to too many users on an AP. These have been responded to quickly by very responsive management.

The connection speed was sold as 700/700 for $29.95/mo and for the most part that was met or exceeded.
Installation was $195 (I think) and the ISP owns the equipment
    There was no contract period
The account includes 1 static IP address and 1 email account (I'm not sure if more are available as I have no need of more).
Equipment includes the radio on the roof (Tranzeo CPQ-19) and a POE injector and cable between the two. We had previously wired our house with ethernet so it all hooked into our ethernet under the house.

    Update - 04/18/2007

Some months ago the WISP network was upgraded and since then has been rock solid.
These are the current speed tests:
