I've been with Surpass for 8 months with one domain and about a year with the other domain I manage there.
The first domain I set up there went smoothly so I moved another domain there. That process was horrible and messed up on so many levels it's hard to remember them all.
1) It took them days to set up the account (that is STANDARD - just check their forums) 2) They transferred the site and fouled that up. The gallery got completely screwed up and had to be nuked & done over. 3) Helpdesk credentials that THEY supplied didn't work for days 4) Site login credentials didn't work for days 5) Cpanel access worked and then didn't work and it took a while for them to get that working.
I've had ftp problems there with the server timing out on transferring larger files. That took a while for them to fix. This was occurring at the same time that I was having NO difficulty whatsoever transferring the SAME files to a different non-surpass server.
I've had email problems - first with them picking some random port # (198) for an alternate SMTP port (for ISPs that block port 25) instead of using port 587 which has been the INTERNET STANDARD (RFC2476) port for authenticated email submission for mail clients AND has been supported by most major mail hosting providers since 1998. Surpass stubbornly sticks to using port 198 even though it didn't work for many people.
I've had further email troubles with the email accounts on the domain not receiving any email. That *HIGH Priority* ticket was open for hours.
