Price tripple play plan with 20/5 mb
On tuesday the 2nd of June 2009 I called in to order FiOS. The service was installed and ready to go the next friday (6/5). The installation process took a long time (5-6 hours), in part because the order for voice had been delayed due to 3rd party verification (verizon is required by law to perform a 3rd party verification procedure if the customer previously had voice service (long distance in my case) with another company. After the voice order was updated the installation process carried through. We currently have all services (phone, TV, and internet via verizon fiber optics. The tech who installed the service was professional enough to figure out ways to use existing coax's in order to avoid drilling. In house copper wires for the phones were simply connected to the ONT box outside along with the coax cables.
We have an analog tv so i cannot comment on HD but we do have a DVR recorder that is both analog and digital compatible, so when we upgrade TVs we don't need to switch equipment. I highly recommend a DVR (digital video recorder) to anyone, in order to escape the lengthy advertisement characteristic of north american television channels and enjoy the service for what its for, watching programs.
Internet speeds are fantastic: constant 20/5 so far. We did have one wireless card which only obtained about 12mb down, not sure why. That desktop was then connected via cat5 to the router. The verizon modem also serves as the wireless router (or wired); it also has a WAN port if u need it.
