They lite our street about 3 weeks ago an I couldn't wait until someone came around. The following Sat. the first salesman came by and I was told I would get a 200.00 Amex card if I signed up for the triple play pac for 12 months with the 10/2 internet. I signed up and right after he left 2 more salespeople came up to me and said that he shouldn't be working this street and that the order wasn't valid. I told them about the 200.00 Amex card and they said sure so I said sign me up. He called in and put me on the phone with a cs rep and she said that there would be an install charge of 30.00 and 20.00 that I was never told of. I was pissed by then so I said forget it. The next day a salesman comes by and by then I cooled down and I tell him I'm ready. As we're going through the order He tells me that the 10/2 internet doesn't qualify for the Amex cards but the next faster level would for 10.00/month more. I asked him to leave and gave up. Later in the week I came across a verizon salesman in Walmart and I told him the story. He said that even with the faster internet I still wouldn't have gotten the Amex cards because you have to commit to 24 months. He signed me up for 12months with a promotion of getting a walmart gift card for 222.00.

Two days before the install they came and laid the cable up close to the house but didn't go under the driveway. On the install day the tech had to call them back to finish but he worked around them. It went smooth and took 6 hours.

So far I love the service and would recommend it although I still am trying to find out about my bill after 5 days.

If you are considering fios - make sure you double and triple check the things that you are told.

Update - After 6 weeks I'm canceling verizon. The bill is still more than I was quoted ( 10 to 25 dollars- I can't tel yet ) and it took a week of calling to get someone to fix a problem I was having - needed a amplifier.

The internet is a little faster than cable - the phone is a phone , no problem and the tv is the best I ever had but the guide and movie descriptions ruin it.

The main reason I'm canceling is that Brighthouse came by and they are giving me credit for my termination fee , 1 month free. movies for 1 yr, and is cheaper for 2yrs with no contract.

I would be afraid to sign up with verizon again unless they can get the bill down from 10 pages to 2.

    Your Bill

I had the fios for about 12 months, and could never get a accurate picture of the bill - other than the price that kept going up, -- when you do get the bill , try calling one of the numbers on it, and see how long it takes to actually talk to someone
