I had a little trouble ordering the service do to an error on the part of the contractor who pulled the fiber in my area. It took a lot of calls and effort to finally get an order in by once that happened everything went smooth as silk. Installation went fast, the intaller was extra pleasant and helpful and it runs like a dream. I've had DSL (bell atlantic, stargate, & verizon) and cable (comcast) previously and FIOS just stomps the snot out of them both. The only minor quibble I have is with the new Actiontec modem/wireless router. I works great, but it's about three times bigger than it needs to be and the feature set is mind boggling and a bit complicated. I have 18 years IT experience and it took some time to go through and set it up the way I wanted, a novice would be sunk. I went with the 15/2 service level, line tests at 15.5/1.88 Price relfects a discount for being a current Verizon DSL customer when order placed and another $5 credit I don't recall what for.
