    My Other Reviews·Rogers Hi-Speed
    ·Bell Sympatico
Ordered the service April 30th online, recieved information that was a bit confusing by email saying that my service would come out on the 31st of each month, but I guess its a bug in the software.

I had Rogers Portable Internet 1.5Mbit/384kbit service before that at about $49/mth, it was ok, but I had low signal strength with the internal modem and DSL finally became available in my area so I thought I'd switch and save the money.

I ordered the 5mbit/800kbit service, with Static IP so I can mess about with some stuff and play DNS and Webserver and all that good stuff, well worth the $4/mth.

No supplied equipment, I have a SS5200 attached for the service, it was an old friends who's equipment got charged off via sympatico and he paid it, so he said have it, so I said sure.

Tentative scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th, may 6th rolls around, no sync, so I place a ticket in with Teksavvy...they meander about and send a ticket into Bell, on the 8th the Bell guy calls and says something wasn't activated at the remote

but to check for DSL sync, and I had it and its good to go.

Experience was alright, again the tech support could have been a bit more understanding and a little more courteous and a little more prompt in their responses to me. Other than that, fighting for a 3 day credit has been a nightmare in itself, that's the bad.

The good is that its a good service, its up, I get decent routing, I like the option of the Static IP, so for now it works pretty good. Overall, I'm happy, but not 100% satisfied with the service. I'd say about 80-90% satisfied so far. We'll see how things go in the future.

EDIT: Definitely unhappy with tech support, informing me that they'd update me when the ticket was closed, but only after I poked for 61 days after my ticket was opened did I get a response, otherwise I'd still be waiting. Definitely unhappy with the answer recieved...

EDIT 2: I'm just updating my review for Tech support as someone stepped in and ensured that I was a satisfied customer and things have gotten better in terms of response time and getting issues looked at, so I wanted to give Teksavvy the benefit of the doubt and update my profile as I haven't had any issues since then.
