"Clear voice quality, short hold times for CSRs."
"No support on Sundays, pricier low level plan, outages, slow website"

I ordered service about 6 weeks ago. Because my home was newly built, they had trouble getting or finding the address in the E911 database. After 2 weeks, it was straightened out. Other than that, the TA arrived quickly and was a snap to setup. One thing I like is that they answer their phone for support and billing issues very quickly. Tech support isn't always very helpful, and getting to 2nd or 3rd level support for issues is impossible. First level acts as a go-between, and often doesn't ask the right questions or simply passes along erroneous information.
The feature set is comparable to other VoIP services. The only complaint is the web site. It is slow and and sometimes doesn't work properly when using it to update features like call forwarding.
In the past six weeks, I have twice had service interruptions. Both occurred over the weekend, and they don't have any support available on Sundays. This has resulted in two days per occasion without phone service.
I have experimented in the past with both Vonage and ATT CallVantage service. Vonage wasn't nearly as unreliable as Voicewing, but the hold time for a CSR was terrible. I also didn't like that Vonage doesn't offer a call screening or anonymous call rejection feature, as does Voicewing and CallVantage. With Vonage, I often had to spend an hour on hold before getting help. CallVantage worked out the best for me. Had all the features and decent customer service (though they are closed on Sundays, too). They were more dependable than Voicewing. I would use CallVantage now, but the same problem with the E911 I had with Voicewing keeps CallVantage from giving me an account. They can't find my address!! At some point I would like to give Sunrocket a try, too. I need to replace this crummy Voicewing.

| sundays we aren't open on sundays because we don't get enough calls to support sundays. We barely get enough for saturday. You can e-mail us and will be contacted back. We do have outbound agents on sundays calling customers back with any escalations they were given. | |

| Re: sundays You're right. There's no point in paying 10 people to work on sundays when they aren't doing anything all day. I've worked sundays in outbound and there have been times there where I've sat there and twiddled my thumbs. I wouldn't pay people to do that either every sunday. | |

| Re: sundays I dont believe that either. People dont have Voicewing problems on SUNDAYS? Give me a break. If anything, call Volume would be UP on Sundays considering people are home and not at work.
Same goes for Verizons landline business. People would LOVE to schedule Sunday appts, but Verizon wants them to take a day off from work rather than pay a technician overtime. | |

| Re: sundays Ok here's what I'm talking about 51 calls in 4 days time. That's in 2 departments. That is about 1/10th the call volume in any other major verizon department. And that is on their slow day. Average rep for wireless who's right next door get a bit over 100 calls a day. 51 calls in 4 days is not enough to have sundays open. And I'm there 10 hours a day. | |

| Re: sundays If you have techs making outbound calls on Sundays, and inbound calls are sooooo sporadic, why not have the techs take the calls? This is suppose to be telephone service - a little more critical to most people than you are seemingly willing to admit. Sounds like a lot of BS to me, anyway. And perhaps the poor tech service correlates directly to how little business you have over the weekends. Why use Voicewing at all if they won't provide support seven days a week? Frankly, there should be a very strictly imposed SLA for all telephone service. | |
