I got AVCI installed at my house in January 2007, 2 months after I signed up. Sales person cancelled on me 3 times and then finally showed up. My connection was good for about two weeks at about 200k, not the 500k I should have got. Installers messed up on install so they came back to fix it after about another 2 weeks of spotty connection. Connection down 90% of the time from mid April to June when I finally cancelled. When they came back to get their equipment they blamed it on the trees "in the way."---- B.S. Why did they install it there then? Just another lie! They offered to provide me with free service until the problem was fixed. I e-mailed them 3 times and got different excuses everytime and them always saying " We are working on the problem."
After almost 3 full months without service I went to Wildblue and I am very happy. Bottomline, if you like to be messed with and lied to and you don't care if your internet ever works this is a good option. Anyone in their right mind would crazy to get this service.
Keep in mind I am a very patient person and am happy to have anything but dial-up where I live. Unfortunately, this is way less reliable than dial-up!!
