Well the initial sign up process went fine. My first contact was in early February on a Sunday (surprise! some is actually there that day!). My salesperson seemed way on the ball and has been pretty attentive so far. I initially signed up for 640 ADSL but because of my distance (42K feet from CO) that's obviously not going to happen. So far, I've been told that 144 IDSL WILL happen for me. Unfortunately, I live in New Jersey - and that means Bell Atlantic. It looks like they may be the hold up, as they have not turned the pair over to Phoenix as of yet. My salesperson told me today he turned my order over to their customer care department and they are working at getting it resolved and getting me the IDSL service. I am concerned that this won't happen - as I have read on another part of DSLReports that Bell Atlantic won't do anything having to do with DSL with Rhythms at over 25K feet. Anyone know anything more about this? Is all hope lost?
My salesperson says he wants to make this happen, so I am holding out! My only other option will be cable (cable company says "sometime this summer") - and having come from an area with cable I'm going through broadband withdrawl!
Maybe I can drive over to the CO and knock some heads together
More to come I'm sure!
