I was an MCI POTS customer until May 1, 2008 when I made the switch to ATT Callvantage. Well here it is June 20 and I'm running that line on Vonage which should tell you how horrible my experience with ATT was. Vonage, comparatively, is like a dream come true. Ordering the service was easy, they answered all my questions and gave me additional promotional discounts. The V-Portal TA came quickly and is lightyears ahead of my D-Link DVG 5102S used by ATT in terms of ease of setup and operations. Turning on the service was brainless and did not require a phone call with ATT during that process to turn anything on. And since it's been running it's been flawless.
The only complaint I have, & I want to blame ATT for it anyway, is that I ordered Vonage on June 3 and it took until June 19 to move the phone #. And Vonage called me on the 17th thinking it had already been done. But in either case the CSR promised to follow up to ensure that everything went as expected.

join:2008-05-27 Raleigh, NC | Follow up On the 17th the CSR promised to call the following Tuesday to check to see that everything was ok. That was yesterday, and no call. It's not a huge deal since everything is working fine, but don't toss out promised you won't keep. | |
