We signed up with Vonage Canada in July of 2005. It only took about a week to get the ATA device & setup was simple. Just plugged it into my D-link router & a few minutes later I got dial tone.
Their website is pretty decent, it shows calls incoming/outgoing, duration, etc. They have some features you can enable such as anonymous call blocking; but they don't have individual number call blocking. This is a feature that has been requested by people for YEARS!
Other VOIP providers can do it, why not Vonage? It would be so nice to just click a number in your user interface on the site &
BLOCK NUMBER SEND TO E-MAIL FORWARD CALL TO #
Their prices where pretty good, compared to other providers here in Canada, but times have changed & there are other players offering better deals & more features.
I cancelled my Vonage account yesterday & switched to Callcentric pay-as-you-go, with incoming DID. It will save me money compared to Vonage & they have individual call blocking.
Voange where good a few years ago when they first hit the scene, but there are far more choices available in Canada now. I would recommend shopping around for the best deal; Vonage are a decent VOIP provider & I have been happy enough with the call quality over the past few years so if you do choose them you wont be disappointed.
