    My Other Reviews·Verizon FIOS
    ·Comcast
We have had Vonage at a couple of business locations and our home for over two and a half years now. Decided that it was time to add a review.

It is, without a doubt, one of the better Internet related services that I have ever subscribed to. I picked up the phones, installed the phones, and activated the service. They have worked ever since, and have had decent interoperability with a variety of routers as well. I have never had a primary Vonage outage as such- if the ISP is up, so is Vonage.

I feel that the strongest selling point for Vonage is the voice quality and clarity that seems to be maintained even when the Internet connection isn't as good as it might be. Between the businesses and home, Vonage is working well on connections provided by Comcast HSI, Verizon DSL, and Verizon FIOS. We have virtually no dropped calls using Vonage with any of these ISP's.

A high percentage of my calling is to locations outside of the US, and Vonage provides inexpensive overseas calling with the same good connection quality as within the US. Many calls go to Japan, and the lack of voice delay due to distance (16K miles) is commendable.

The only gripe that I have is that I find customer service consistently frustrating. When I do have the odd question, getting an answer that works is like pulling teeth. It is hard to find a call center individual that addresses the question that you are actually asking; I don't know if they are required to read you many FAQ-type answers first, but I get a lot of useless information that has nothing to do with the reason that I called.
