    Update: March 29, 2008

Just a few months away from having Vonage for 2 years and it is still going strong. The lawsuits were scary but the service is rock solid. You can't beat there free international calling!

    Update : September 27 2006

Well I have had Vonage for over two months now. Last week I was experiencing a lot of dropped calls. I called Vonage and after a while the problem was fixed. He did something from his station and ever since then it has been fine. I haven't made an international call in over a month but the last few times I used it, there was strange beeping noises. I probably won't be making another international call until summer 2007. All in all, I am still pleased with the service.

I ordered Vonage on July 21st, which was a Friday. On Monday the 24th, the package was at my door at 3pm. It basically took one business day to arrive which is totally fast! On the 21st I sent in a request to transfer my phone # over. They said it would take 20 days! On July 31st my # was transfered over and my Verizon line was automatically cancelled. In 10 days I was up and running with my old #. For months I have been wanting to switch over to VOIP because of the price, but then my gf went to Italy for 50 days with her family and I decided to go with Vonage because the calls were free to Italy. This has saved me so much money in phone cards it is unbelieveable.

The quality of the phone is amazing. In my opinion I think it sounds better then a landline. If you have a great ISP and good speeds it is worth the switch to VOIP. I give the Tech Support a 3 because I have not used them yet, but from all the reviews I have read they don't seem to helpful. In a few months I will post an update and hopefully it will be another good praise for Vonage.

    Vonage is cool ...

I agree. I have OOL and its blazing 30mbs service. This combined with vonage makes the calls very clear and the service is reliable. I figure i save about 80 dollars per month since calls to canada and puerto rico is included.
