    08/01/08 - I forgot to update this last year. I left Vonage in January 2008 for a traditional landline as we weren't using the service and we had multiple outages in just a month's time.

    08/10/07 - Well I went back to Vonage. Was able to get all phone jacks live in the house so we decided to go back. No problems at all with the service. Will stay with them as long as possible.

    11/07/06 - I downgraded my plan to the basic $4.99/month plan until it's time to cancel. Was not using it and not worth even the low price. Wife and I use our cell phones primarily so we decided to downgrade the plan and are cancelling once a year is up.

    I just recently got signed up for Vonage and I'm loving it. Easy to setup and works great. Planning on hooking it up to activate all ports in my house later on. Love the voicemail feature that let's me get an email with the voicemail as an attachment!

    1/11/06 - No major issues. Voicemail was not working for almost 2 weeks but it's good now. Only had the occasional voice quality issue. Noone was using the Internet either but it cleared up in a few minutes. Have had a few times where I get one way audio. I hear the person calling but they never hear me. Everytime that's happened they've called back and it was fine. Would still recommend this service to anyone.

    Porting?

    Were you able to port your number from Iowa Telecom?

    I still never understood whule people are very obsessed with Porting there number. (UNless your a busines.)

    I had a 15 year old number, and took a new new number right away from Vonage. It's not that hard to me to tell your friends of the new number.
