    Four years later (May 2008) and I'm as happy with Vonage as the day I first got it. Se my original review below...

    I've had Vonage service for over a year now, so my review reflects a bit of experience with this company. I ordered the "$26.00 package that gives me unlimited local calling and 500 minutes of nationwide long distance. I had my package in about a week and had Vonage working within minutes of setting it up on my home LAN. I'm with WOW Internet and Cable which has worked wonderfully with Vonage service. After about a month of testing I took the plunge and ported my local phone number to my Vonage account. This took about two weeks before it took effect. I dumped my SBC phone service in March of 2003 and have not regretted it to date. Over the last year I've saved over $400.00 in phone charges with Vonage vs. SBC. I have not had to change my calling habits in order to achieve these savings. I'm convinced that individual experiences with Vonage are more dependent on the quality of the broadband connection than anything Vonage may or may not be doing. I love the features offered on the website for configuring the service. My only real reservation is the 911 service which I don't rely upon. I've only had to call customer service twice with questions and had to wait too long both times.

    Overall I would highly recommend the service if you have a fast low-latency connection of at least 2000 down /256 up.
