Update: 9-5-07
Just a little update, i have had no down time in the past few months and speeds are still the same! I even got a few of my friends to move to ATT DSL from comcast b/c of how stable my speeds are and the ping times ( on avg, i get 30-40ms lower ping times than comcast) No news on U-Verse in my area yet, but i can always hope.
Update: 6-15-07
I just got upgraded to there Elite plan, upgrade happen at around 6:30am. Speed test has been around 5100/640. Very happy about the speeds.
I ordered 3/512 and got my dsl modem in the mail about a week later. I got the SpeedStream 4100 DSL modem with the install cd. Pluged it in and ran thro the cd to set up my dsl account. After all that i was up and running. Did a speed test and got 2.6/410 (me being stupid back in the day, i know the speeds are right now) and thought it might b/c i just got it, but now about 6months later im still getting 2.6/410 even tho in the modem it says im connected at 3008/512.
DSL goes out for about an hour once a month but nothing to big. I pay 19.99 for 12months then it will go back up to 24.99. Over all im very happy with it, im just hoping some time down the line i can get my max speeds and be able to upgrade to there 6/768 plan.
