On May 3rd I upgraded to the Elite package. The upgrade was pushed through in less than 24 hours. I had a slight problem with my upload speed not being correct. A quick post in the AT&T Direct Forum and WolfDragon01 fixed the issue literally within about two hours of my post. I'm still quite impressed with the service. Speeds and latency are exactly as they should be. I'll say again--I'm quite impressed.

I worked for Ameritech during their initial launch of DSL and it wasn't pretty. At the time Ameritech was synonymous with poor service and was getting crucified by the press here in Chicago for it. Then SBC purchased Ameritech...

When I left SBC in '02 the DSL product had gotten much better, but they've obviously made quite a bit a progress since then. I'm really impressed to see how far they've come after those humble beginnings.

Ordering service was a breeze. I punched in my phone number and they tell me what packages my line qualifies for. I ordered the 3.0/512 package and within a few minutes my order is complete and there's a confirmation email in my inbox.

A few days later I get a package in the mail. After registering my service online I'm up and running. I wasn't synced up at the full speeds, but with the help of [user=beachboy] and [user=dslknowitall] all was fixed in a matter of minutes and my order completed. The official techs here at DSLR are priceless. Having them around is one of the smartest things SBC has done in regards to their DSL product(s).

Latency is great and the speeds have been consistent. I'm a happy camper...waiting for Project LightSpeed to come to 60068.
