    Ordered 384/128 service from SBC in late June 2003. Modem came in about 4 days after I orderer it. When I received the modem and I tried to connect I found out that my line wasn't activated yet. But I called SBC's tech support and luckily received tech support from someone in America (not India). The tech support quickly activated the line (even though I still had a few days before the line would be activated). Anyways I did the PPPoE info using Windows XP and I was quickly using broadband in no time. I paid 30 dollars a month for the service, which by todays standards is a large sum of money. Anyways about a year later I upgraded to the 1.5/384 service because its price was exactly identical to that of 384/128 (speed doesent exist anymore though). As the months went by and SBC introduced price cuts I immediately took advantage of them. From 30 dollars a month to 15. I am an extremely happy camper! SBC you kick ass. I've had a few connection problem over the years with SBC, but they were just as quickly resolved as they appeared. If you can get SBC, my advice: GET IT!!!
