As an AT&T dsl user since at least 2007, I can say that service drop-offs were unheard of early on, but recently it is miserable. My first modem was the Speed Stream 4100, after several years, it started acting up. I went to the at&t store and they sold me a $75.00 Motorola 2210-02 and it just started duplicating previous problems after a couple years. Within the last couple of weeks have learned that many people think both modems are junk. I just this hour hooked up an Actiontec GT784WIN. In a mere 20 minutes service dropped out, shut it off, back on and now I=E2=80=99m typing this e-mail still on the net. If you call at&t customer service number you get a recorded message that they are having major problems with DSL and are working on it. That was last week, I haven=E2=80=99t called this week, don=E2=80=99t remember the number. I think it=E2=80=99s being done to select customers to drum up business for other AT&T services, no way it should take this long to fix this. DMC
