**Update 11/13/06** Well I wanted to get in my final review for Insight as I no longer live in Kentucky. Before I moved the Plus package I was on was updated to the 15 down/ 1.5 up and there is one word that comes to my mind when I was using it, WOW. It was so nice, pings were great and speed was at the advertised speeds.
Insight from the time I signed up with them has matured and grown a lot as a company. They have seen the future and implemented it in a short period of time to be honest.
Any time the CEO of a company comes to a message board and takes the heat for the bad you know that a company is trying. That is all that you can really ask for from a company.
Anyways I am going to adjust a my monthly cost and value for the money. Cost is $75.00 and Value will go from a 3 to a 5.
Thanks
**Updated 12-4-04** ok new speed increase and I upgraded to plus for the 6000/512 up. I get on avg around 5200/5400 down and 480 up. Not bad and within 90% of the speed set. Pings have been solid on gaming servers, in fact might be better since speed increase. Value for money has gone up from 2 to 3. I say 3 now because I still believe the plus is over priced by at least 20 bucks. You should not have to pay 35 bucks more (almost 90% of your normal rate) to get only 2000 down more and 128 up then the basic package.
I have also updated my price....

September 16th 2004 (Just had to come back to them)
Well Cyberonic.com tried to screw me so I had to come back to Insightbb.com. Since I left and came back their speeds were increased to 4000/256. Which I get around 3700 at the fastest and 230 on the upload. Pings are better then before it seems for me with them around 35 to 40 and no high pings. My first hop is also faster as well. For 44 dollars not a bad offer, but really 256 upload is so 3 years ago! Time to get with the times Insight and move to at least 356 or higher.
Other things I changed were value for money and bad points and bottom line ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------- I put in the order for the service on a Sunday and had a installer here on Tuesday! Speeds are from 2800 to 3100 down and up are 127 to 135 (advertised 3000/128) First few days I was getting over 3000 but now it has leveled out at 2800 it seems. Anyways the ping times are great. Ping here is no higher then 50.
Only thing I don't like is having to use their log in tool that runs every time you start your cpu up and runs in the background. I wish I didn't need that, but I have enough ram to where it isn't a big issue.
Overall:
Solid so far, will give an update to their service and speeds in a month.
[UPDATE ON JULY 10TH 2004]
Well I have had the service for a while now, and it is quite depressing that every single isp is moving their speeds up and up and ours is still stuck where it is at (upload that is) It is really bad that a cable provider offers a base of 128 k for upload, it should be embarrassing to them. There is no reason it should at least be 256k. this is year 2004 right? I have decided to lower my value for money to 3 instead of 5. Because for 44.95 a month there is no reason the upload should not be higher, PERIOD. I also updated the bad and bottom line points
