    01/23/2008 - Update
Well I can say that when the service is up and running it is rock solid. For about the past six months I have run into the problem of connection dropping. I've had tech after tech out to fix the problem and still the problem persists.

If I can ever find the power cord to the modem I own (Suftboard 5200) I am going back to it. These Web Star modems suck.

    07/05/2006 -- Update
I'm back in WOW land agian and boy does it feel saweet. No complaints here.

    04/16/04 --- Update
Had to move to a different area and wouldn't ya know it, WOW isn't there, yet. Was forced to get CommyCast for a few weeks until I can get DSL hooked up. WOW has been talking to the local Township about moving up to this area but it might be a long time coming. I will have to wait.

I want to thank you all the PPL in the WOW forum and the WOW staff for being great. Hope to be back with ya'll soon.

    11-15-03 --- Update
WOW just upped our caps to 4Mbs/500Kbs for the Ultra Tier service at no extra cost. Only outage was due to the network maint being done to raise our service. No complaint here.

    08-11-03 --- Update
Haven't had any real issues to speak of since the last update. WOW has rolled out their Ultra Tier Service. 3Mbit/500Kbs. Works great. Haven't had an IP change in over 3 months. Only thing I wish that would come my way is FTTC or FTTH. That would be a plus. Keep going WOW you're doing great in my book.

    05-26-03 --- Update on service
WOW is still going strong. They have been doing upgrades to lines and service on a constant basis. My upload/download speeds have always been at or above their advertised limits. The only complaint I have is the amount of times my IP's have changed, 8 times in all. This doesn't include when I have changed equipment/MAC Addresses. That does seem a bit on the high side but it could be due to line upgrades and the adding of new DNS servers.

    02-04-03 --- Update on service
WOW has had some real growing pains but over all things have went quite well. Line has went dead on about 4 occasions for unknown reason. But when calling tech support they admit that the problem is at their end or above. They have worked hard to improved service and keep service running.
    ----
Called to have WOW installed on 6-18-02. Ordered the Advance Service 1500Mb/s down - 300Kb/s up with 3 IP for which one you can have as Static. I chose to have all Dynamic. Price is $34.95 if you are a HotBox Customer. I figured that if I was going to change cable internet providers why not change all the way and get digital cable too so I could get a lower price. Was told by sales that the tech would be here between 1pm and 6pm on 6-20-02.

The tech/installer showed up promptly at 1:00pm on the date specified. Between the time he knocked at the door and the time I signed the paperwork to complete the installation was about 45 minutes. Everything went very smooth. Only real complaint I had was that he couldn't setup the multiple IPs, that is up to the customer.

Had to call tech support 10min after the installer left to get the multi-IPs setup. Tech asked for the MAC addresses of the comptuers that would be on the network. When I informed her that one of the MAC addresses would be a router she said they were not supported but it would be treated as another computer and we continued as if the router wasn't there. Provisioning of the 2 extra IPs wasn't that smooth but in the end everything has worked great. From the time I called to the time I hung up was only 20 min. Time on hold was 5 min.

My thoughts on WideOpenWest.....I think they are a great company and genuinly care about their customers. After all we are the ones who make their pay checks.
