I found I could get phone+cable+net for less (not a ton, but maybe $30) from Cox in a bundle called the "we love you so much let us hug you bundle" (I think).
Install was scheduled, the guy was out maybe a week later at 4pm in a 4-8 window which rocked. He was very knowledgeable and quick even helping me get my wireless Linksys fired up. Everything just pretty much worked like that. No trauma.
Okay fine, he had to put the line in the PC first when we had no luck, but it's been in the router since with no problems.
Speed is like life on cable. It's pretty smooth but you will hit a patch here and there where things aren't that good. During the day I try to stay off Second Life for example since things can get congested but it's getting over 10mb at night and I only get the middle package (they promise 5 - whatever). Has it ever gone down? Nope. Not once. Always works.
Now the scary part. This is not an ISP kids. Do not contact them with ISP like questions on things like why other people on different backbones get to a site while you get a 404. Even if you researched for hours and found even on a proxy it shows the site is not right in someone's path. Why? You will get back an email that may have well been written in crayon asking you to check ipconfig, flush dns cahche, and other things a 3 year old would know that I wouldn't elevate above dumb by repeating.
Barring support - I likie.
