The people in the Kansas support office are very helpful and knowledgable. However, my experiences with the Cox.com "chat support" system have been absolutely terrible. During one particular episode, the Kansas call center people were very polite and helpful. The "chat support" people were rude and condescending, and insisted there was no network problem. Their answer was for me to buy a new modem. 3 days later, a Cox truck parks under a pole a mile or two away, and my stuff "miraculously" works just fine again.
Phone service has been good, and well-priced. The installation was timely and very professional. The service itself is normally reliable and very clear. However, we've been out 8 days now due to some downed lines, and they have no idea when it will be restored. Nor do they seem very concerned about it.
