My speeds have always been reliable, and constant...regardless of where I have lived. Since I have upgraded to Cox Business Services (June 2007), I have experienced the same great quality I have known to trust.
Cox has added what is known as "PowerBoost" which allows the cable modem to take advantage of extra network capacity for the first 1/2 to 3/4 of a download. It is nice to be able to download at 20Mbps to get those extra large files done quicker.

Download Speed: 21334 kbps (2666.8KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2144 kbps (268 KB/sec transfer rate)
The ordering process was easy. I ordered Basic Cable, Digital Cable, HD DVR, w/ the Free HD package.
My monthly cable bill is ~$76 for Television services, and $84/month for Cox Business Services Internet (1 static ip address included, 1 additional static ip address per month).
All-in-All:
Cox has done a very good job servicing me. I know others are unhappy for sure, but I guess it depends on the market, line condition, living conditions, and many other factors. Overall, very good job, Cox!
