I've had Comcast for two years now, so it's been awhile. I'm happy with the service. I have only had a few short downtimes, usually due to something goofy happening in my neighborhood. (Tree down, or line cut) The only major issue was this past summer when there were DNS issues for about a week. I swapped my DNS and it was fine. LOL

There is no better option for broadband at this time in the Portland, OR area. (FIOS is being deployed, but only to a few small neighborhoods.)

The one thing that I don't like is that it is always a gamble when calling into Comcast for support. We have a local call center that is very very good. The techs are just about the best tech support guys I've ever had contact with. They always know what's going on and have a good range of knowledge. BUT, you can only get these guys on the phone about half of the time. Half of the tech support calls are routed to an outsourced group that is in Atlanta, Denver, or Canada. These guys suck a$$. They must be minimum wage idiots. I'd rather pull up to McDonalds to get tech support than to call these knuckleheads.

That's the only downside and I fix it by hanging up as soon as I find out where these guys are located and calling back till I get the local group. LOL I'm fine with the price, seems ok because I was paying almost as much with Verizon for DSL anyway, and it was a lot slower. (34.99 + taxes, so just about $40 anyway)
