I've had the Extreme speed since it first arrived. Since then, it has increased up to 8mbps. Having said that, the price has also increased accordingly.
I'm still ticked off at some so-called "freebees" being cut years ago.
There are lots of complaints about throttling, but to be perfectly honest I haven't really noticed. I don't do a lot of torrent downloading, but those that I do download seem to come down the pipe fairly quickly.
I don't play as many online PC games as I used to, so I can't comment on the lag factor. I do, however, play some Xbox 360 games online and although they aren't fast paced, I don't notice any real connection issues.
Reliability seems to be OK. I've had to call their tech support a few times in the last few years. I'm not terribly happy with having to remove my router from the scenario to trouble-shoot, since I've usually tried that beforehand, but it did solve one problem on one occasion. Turned out to be a router setting I had enabled and forgot about (I figured that out myself)
