    I have been a satellite customer for almost 7 years by now. This last week was the straw that broke the camel's back.

    I have a 7000S with the ProPlus. I am lucky if I get 100 kbps. I wish!

    I have been in "touch" with customer service so many times with absolutely no avail. I have been FAPped. No more.

    My usage page shows traffic even when the moden is unplugged!!! The customer rep had the guts to tell me that maybe I had a virus. Maybe so but when the moden is off you tell me how can the virus do anything. BTW I do not have a virus.

    Today I filed a complain with the FCC. Also I am in California and it seems that there is a class action law suit. About time!!

    I am going on a business trip next week. I will plug off the modem and when I am back I will check to see if there is any traffic going on. Maybe gremlins . . .

    I found out that there is EVDO coverage in my area or maybe I will get an IPhone. My wife got one and she gets more than 500 Kbps up and down.

    Do not get HughesNet unless it is the absolutely totally positively lastthing you can do.
