    My Other Reviews·Verizon Wireless B..
I have had my SRS for a little over 1 year. I'll have to admit I was very angry at the quality of the service the first few months, but Hughes finally ironed out a lot of the bugs which made the service much more enjoyable. I live way out in the country, where I doubt I will ever get cable or DSL, so Satellite is my only choice for Broadband. Hopefully Hughes will continue to improve services. We are hearing about a new Low Orbit Low Latency service coming up in the near future. It promises lower latency, faster upload and download speeds and more competitive pricing. We will just have to wait and see.

I have just upgraded to the HN7000s. So far speeds and browsing are good. I hope Hughes will continue to develop technology to further enhance the satellite broadband experience.

I have had the HN7000s for a few weeks and it seems to be running as advertised. My speeds are close to 1500 kbps up and 200 kbps down at non peak times. My browsing is very good. So far I like it a lot.

The HN7000S worked very well for most of the year and a half I have had it. Now, it seems that Hughes has so severely over sold their systems, that I no longer enjoy the good speeds I have had for so long. Now, I come in from work, turn my computer on to see web pages loading very slowly, and download speeds barely above dial up most days. I guess this is due to some kind of load balancing by Hughes.

I have began trying out Verizon Wireless Broadband Access EV-DO via USB modem. So far, my speeds are not the greatest, because I live a few miles beyond their broadband towers coverage area, but latency is much lower than Satellite and browsing is faster that Satellite has ever been. If I can get a little better reception by using an amplifier, I will probably keep the service. From what I have been seeing, a lot of people have been moving over to either Sprint or Verizon wireless. I love the information that I am able to get from DSLReports forums, it has made my experience with Satellite, and now 3g wireless very enjoyable. Keep up the good work guys!.
