I have to say that the Bresnan buy out of Comcast has been a great thing for me.
There customer service is terrific. In fact it is the best customer service I have had yet, including the old mom and pop dial up service I had years ago.
Here is a little story:
I could not find out anything aboutBresnan when the news hit the wires that they were taking over Broadband service in my area.
I found a web site with a number in New York (I live in Montana) I called the number and was directed by an operator to the voice message of a one "Leonard Higgins" I left my message and on the next working day he called me back!
He asked me how he could help me out and I told him of my horrific latency problems I had been experiencing.
He immediately knew what the problem was.I mean this was instantly.
He informed me that it was a bad router in Billings MT (about 180 miles from me) now this might not seem so special, but I later found out that he is the Senior Vice President of Advanced systems for Bresnan!
A Vice Pres of a division in a company which is covering several states, and he called me!
Which made me feel that they really are concerned with customer service.
They have in a short 2 months fixed all of my latency problems that over 2 years of ATT and Comcast would (or could) not do.
Also I have a great ping and trace routes look good.
Recently I have had over 1200 down but and regularly hit 700 to 900 and the upload speed of 384 although lackluster is stable.
An update they finally offered a premium package and I have a rock solid upload of 1000.
Still they are the only cable company in Montana and so have no need to try and upgrade broadband connects.
However overall a very reliable and dependable connect and the recent addition of the new speed plus option really helps out with any online activity, especially gaming.
