$85 is the discount package price with expanded basic cable which runs out after 6 mos. Internet is regular $44.95 for 5MEG/.5MEG
I get my full speed any time of day 
Renting the Moto modem with the internet on/off button for about $3/mo.
Very nice self-install kit for the net.
I prefer cable as we have a local office nearby , and if they refuse to take charges off over the phone when calling third-world tech support , local office makes it all good. I prefer to argue in person and threaten to get all my stuff (modem , cable box) out of my car and dump it on the counter , and they know I mean business.
If you phone them you get Philipines and they tell you NO. Sometimes you get Canada or Minnesota and they are nicer. Nothing gets action like going in person.
