I ordered the 10meg package and found that I was too far from the road to get anything. Charter sent out a team and installed an underground cable to my location at no additional cost! The connection has been great, there is no way I could go back to my old 1 meg DSL/phoneline. They supplied a Motorola Surfboard modem for $3 monthly (cheap as I had lost a DSL modem last year and it cost more than a 2years rent at that rate and they replace it free if it dies). The only problem I have run into is that I cannot play any games with, or chat with, a friend just down the road that also has charter cable. Charter claims that they do NOT support peer to peer connection and has done nothing to remedy this. We have found alternate means of doing some things, but others had to be abandoned. I can run peer to peer games and chat with anyone outside charter, so it's just the one guy and I can live with that. As an internet connection though, I haven't seen anything better!
