    My Other Reviews·AT&T Midwest
Wanted to add that all to often we are quick to chastise a company for poor performance while complacent when everything works as it should! Besides being ripped off for a hundred bucks by broadbandoffers.com (reseller) I am thoroughly pleased with my HSI from Charter again! Keep up the good work Charter and others like me who had plenty of negative experiences with Charter in the past, don't forget to update your reviews to help others! 3 months into my Charter experience 100% Satisfied with HSI Performance!

Finally gave Charter another try after a 2 1/2 year hiatus. I ditched them then after being a subscriber for 5 years. They started adding other services and the experience became unbearable. I believe it boiled down to them bottling to much of their traffic here in southern Wisconsin into one of AT&T's. The problem is definitely fixed! Packetloss is not the issue it was here before. Latency is to be expected with any network but Charter has definitely improved in this area also.

Bottom Line? Is it as stable as DSL? No. But it is MUCH faster. I downloaded Windows XP SP3 (340 mb) in 5 minutes. Online gaming performance has drastically improved. People are no longer shooting me a second before I them. Uploading files to my host so I can manage my website is twice as fast.

I can ditch the home phone!

Charter 10 meg down 1 meg up = $20.00 month for a year

    AT&T Dsl = $57 a month with a homephone

After a year I will have a better grasp of Charters tech support and network reliability. Right now, 3 weeks after installation and use I feel Charters service is a great bargain at $20 a month and I would personally be willing to pay twice that should the connection remain reliable.
