Install went fine after we found out my nic was bad. I'm getting 2.5/185 on a 2/128 account not too bad. Only bad thing is the prices changed during the install and know instead of 768/128 for $35 I get 2000/128 for $40.
March 15, 2006 Have had service for 1 year and a half not much to complain about except the recent slow downs and outages. Every once in a while the modem will not give the router an ip address but after several power cycles it works again. Price has stayed the same. Customer service is horrible. Every time you have a problem its always on your end not Charter's. That excuse is old. They like to tell me that not many people use routers with HSI and that routers cause all the problems. But other than the tech support overall I'm happy with Pipeline. Speeds are normaly 2.6-3.2/300. Now Charter cable tv is a totaly different story.
May 2, 2007 I've had 5/512 for about a year now. Its not too bad. Random outages and slow downs are getting more common. Other than that not to bad. One plus of Charter is I'm not paying ATT for internet or phone.
Dec. 6, 2007 Just moved to an apartment and the HSI sucks. I have a 5/512 connection and hardly get above 1meg. Tried to get TV installed in my room but no go. Apt. company says its ok to drill through wall but Charter refuses. I pay the bill and am the only one without tv in their room. Oh well Charter its been a fun 5 years but AT&T Uverse is just around the corner for me.
