I signed up for cable and internet in February of 2009. I had the basic internet 6/1 , though they gave me the old Insight Cable configuration which is 10/1. I also got limited basic cable promotion of Free for 12 Months at the time I originally signed up. I then moved a few months later , June 2009. I visited Comcast.com and used the Moving Link. Everything went pretty smooth with the move. Except I asked to a 12 month Cable Tv promotion and found out this past month I was signed up for only a 3 month promotion.
I had ComcastSteve's team look into this because my account was not switched over to my old email like I was told it would be. In less than 12 Hours I get a call from the District Office of Comcast for my area. I can say Comcast went the extra mile to keep me as a customer. They went back and recreated the package which no longer is running and gave me a 24 month term instead of the 12 month term , I was very happy right there. Then she tells me that she Extended my internet promotion for 12 months. Again I was very , very happy.
The cable package was supposed to be the digital starter with free hbo for 12 months for $29.99 , which is normally over a 57 dollar package alone not counting internet. So you can see Comcast went the extra mile to keep me as a customer. I'm guessing it was because they have competition here from Uverse and Wireless internet.
I live about 500 ft from the at&t CO , so DSL or Uverse is a option for me. In fact I had DSL almost 15 months before I came back to Comcast. So far * knock on wood* I have not had any downtime with Comcast and I can't say that with at&t dsl. Even though my signals and everything was exceptional for dsl. I still had periods of days where my DSL would crawl to slower than DSL speeds and no one had a clue when I called. These poor conditions would last for 3-7 days and this happened every other month like clock work almost.
I'm glad I gave Comcast a chance and I'm very happy with the price and service.
Being a Former Insightbb Customer I always enjoyed the same price of Internet as someone who had TV. If I could change one thing Comcast does it would be to give me the same price with or without TV.
