I had DSL with Bellatlantic, then they became Verizon and the service went down hill fast. So I wound up switching to Comcast. I bought the home Install kit and could not get the modem to sync. They had a service guy come out that following Saturday and fix my line.
Once it was fixed, the speed was incredible, I ordered the gold tear with limited basic TV to get the Internet discount.
Now 3 years and later, I now have the blast tear, which I was upgraded too for free. In that time, the billing has been right and the service has been good and the only issues I have run into, is there DNS server going out to lunch twice.
The only thing I would recommend, is keeping some open DNS server IP's on hand for when the Comcast DNS servers go out to lunch. In my time using Comcast, it only has happens twice when they were servicing them.
Other then that, I would recommend them for now.
