"Great website; super easy to log in and pay bill"
"Still pricey though compared to DSL only slightly"
"Not price friendly but better customer serivce than Verizon"

I signed up with Comcast at an intro rate of $19.99 for the first 6 months for their 6/2 Mbps plan. I did it using their customer support live chat. I even saved the transcript. They were quite nice and very up front about the charges. They also waved some fees simply because it happened to be my birthday (this without me asking for anything). We have a digital cable package as well as our Internet connection. Overall we are paying a little over a $100 month when you include taxes and fees. This is relatively high BUT I online game a lot and both my wife and I are heavy e-mail users. She also pays most of our bills online. We also watch a fair amount of cable channels like Food Network and Bravo. I guess it's fair to say we get our money's worth from the services.

I'd be lying if I didn't say lower prices would be great but so far the current cost hasn't been to difficult to fathom. This is not to say we won't jump ship if we can find the same quality of service for less money. Comcast will have to continue to work to keep our business but suffice to say they have done a much better job as a service provider in our first year with them than Verizon ever did.

    Agree

I used to have Comcast, and switched to Verizon Fios when it became available. Loved it at first, but customer support went down the tubes. Recently moved and was forced back to Comcast. I have been favorably impressed with customer service. Supposed to be a new local manager who has improved things dramatically. Still think price is too high since there's no local broadband competition.

Well the Wi-MAX test in Baltimore bodes well for the future of wireless broadband as a form of new competition for Comcast and the like.

Of course a lot of that relies on Sprint's ability to see a return on their assets before they hemorrhage enough cash to put them out of business.
