    My Other Reviews·Charter Pipeline
I have a 6meg down and 2 meg upload HSI package with basic bundled cable tv service. The total price per month is $50.

The installation went smoothly and the tech guys on the truck roll were friendly and knowledgeable enough when I asked them several questions. Within a half-hour the service was live and all appeared well.

The real issues started when I fired up Bit Torrent. Comcast in Hanover Park, IL will NOT allow you to connect to private bit torrent trackers. It will reset all your connections within a few minutes, making seeding an impossible tab. Public trackers appear to work just fine, but forget it if you are on a private site. Their SandVine technology is a major pain in the backside. Not only does it reset your BT traffic, but it also slows down your web traffic as well when utorrent is open.

The second round of issues with Comcast started up when I tried to pay the bill. The invoice had multiple "reconnection" charges on it. This is complete nonsense, as I've never had an account with Comcast before. After spending nearly three hours on hold and with six different customer-no-service reps, they finally wiped the fees. Talk about a nightmare!

To Comcast's credit, the price of combined services are reasonable at $50 per month. Ping times for gaming have been between 15-20ms to Chicago servers from my home in Hanover Park, IL. So far, the uptime has been near perfect, with only short outages that have lasted only a few minutes.

Overall, I'm still hopping mad that Comcast has cut the balls off ligitimate uses of Bit Torrent. This is false advertising and the work of scam artists. I could forgive their brain dead customer support if the actual product was decent. As it stands, the FAQ on their website is highly deceptive regarding Bit Torrent and private vs. public trackers. Stop lying Comcast and fix your FAQ or better yet, give customers the service they were promised!

P.S. As I did with my Charter review, this one will be updated with any improvements or turns for the worse. Check back from time to time for more details.
